THE BASICS OF CODING FOR WEB DESIGN

Creating a website is a process consisting of three layers: the structural or Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), presentational or Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and behavioural layers or JavaScript. HTML is the structural layer as it is the skeleton of the website, giving it is base and the building blocks of the website. CSS as the presentational layer gives the website its style, like the skin giving the visual appearance like colours, fonts and imagery. JavaScript tells the website how to behave, like the brain it controls interactive elements. They work together to make a beautiful well-functioning interactive website.
